Volunteering has been a big part of my retirement and "Give Kids the World" has been my favorite place to volunteer in Kissimmee Fl.
After nine years I have racked up over 2500 hours volunteering at "Give Kids the World" One of their tag lines is "Ice cream for breakfast" so they open their ice cream parlor at 7:30 in the morning. They are a wish fulfilment foundation that fills over half the wishes of critically ill children from all over the world
When I retired I wanted to work at Disney World part time for a year. I ended up doing over six. I was lucky in one of my roles in that I could pick up shifts throughout the parks. I got pictures of myself in over 60 costumes from the Grand Hotel merchandise to Friars Nook runner at the Magic Kingdom.
Sure the number one thing beside the parks I hear people like doing is looking for gators but there is so much more than that. There are wildlife areas, air boat rides and the occasional battle between Mocking birds and black snakes. The Mocking bird won this battle and also when they are nesting they will get very aggressive.
